Jennifer Anderson,NCMG is the owner/operater of Paws At Your Door Mobile Grooming. She is a Nationally Certified Master Groomer, one of only a handful in Minnesota. She has been involved with pets her entire life and started grooming at age 16. Making dogs beautiful is a passion of hers, and grooming is a career not just a job. Styling pets gives her the ability to use her creative, artistic side. Scissoring is like sculpturing, but in hair not clay! Jennifer has the ability to see the best "look" for your pet as soon as she lays eyes on it, and the skill to create that look. Many groomers can cut hair well, but do not have the education in bone structure, hair type, and styling techniques that will enhance your pets' best features. Jennifer's special areas of interest/expertise are curly coated breeds and terriers, but she is highly skilled in all breeds.
Some of these skills were gained while showing her Standard Poodles in conformation shows. Her poodle puppies, "Spirit Standard Poodles" are in homes all over the United States and Canada. She competes in conformation, obedience and agility shows with them, as well as dabbling in hunting, pet therapy, and other competitive performance sports. She has donated a puppy to Hearing and Service Dogs of Minnesota who is a service dog today. Her dogs have been nationally ranked in the Top Ten Poodles in America. - Nationally certified by the National Dog Groomers Association of America for all breeds- earning her the coveted Nationally Certified Master Groomer title. This demanding testing requires years of experience, thousands of hours of study and preparation, and a devotion to the profession. Testees must pass a nearly 1,000 question written test and perform 4 live timed grooms for the industry's top professionals. Jennifer passed all tests above 94% !

Ask your current groomer what their experience is. Are they just cutting pet hair or are they a professional pet stylist, current on the latest safety, styling, products, and techniques? Are they certified by an independant professional organization? There is no excuse for ignorance.
